Themes of Research
１. Basic Technology Research Division
This research division focuses on identifying genes related to morphologic control and environmental responses in plants. We also analyze genes related to the production and accumulation of functional materials in plants, with regard to the interactions between organs and with environmental factors. Furthermore, we aim to build control networks for these groups of useful genes via the bioinformatics approach.
- Identify genes associated with phenotypic expression and environmental responses in plants
- Identify useful genes related to the production of functional molecules in plants
- Exploring genetic networks of the above-mentioned gene groups using bioinformatic techniques
Joint usage/research in this division focuses on technical support for screening of mutants, mapping and identification of mutations, construction of multiple mutants, and analysis of the gene expression level.
